This first session's topics will cover "Adolescent Lupus Nephritis" and "The POSTERITY trial- a clinical research study for young people with lupus nephritis". These will be presented by Dr. Taylor LaFlam and Dr. Susan Kim both from UCSF.
This program is FREE to lupus patients, family members, health professionals and other interested parties.

Session 1: Dr. Taylor LaFlam

Dr. Taylor LaFlam is a pediatric rheumatology fellow at UCSF, where he also received his MD and PhD and completed pediatrics residency. Along with caring for patients with lupus and other rheumatic diseases, he performs research on how autoimmunity develops, with a particular interest in lupus."
Session 1: Dr. Susan Kim

Dr. Susan Kim is Pediatric Rheumatologist and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UCSF Medical School. Since 2006, Dr. Kim has specialized in caring for children and adolescents with inflammatory rheumatic diseases, including Systemic Lupus Erythematosis, and focuses on clinical research in Pediatric Rheumatology. She leads the Pediatric Rheumatology Dermatology Clinic at UCSF and has leadership positions in CARRA, the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance, which is an international research organization in hopes of advancing care and research in the field of Pediatric Rheumatology
