Our 2019 Outrun Lupus Mascot is...
Rocky Road! 

This is Rocky Road and he is a 3 year old French Bulldog that came all the way from the Dominican Republic. Roadie came into our lives in 2016 as I began my journey to find out I have lupus and has been by my side through the whole experience.​

Rocky Road loves to run laps around the backyard, hide his toys all over the house and take long naps snoring as loud as he possibly can. Other than being the most adorable pup there is, he also is the most loving dog I could ever ask for through being diagnosed with lupus and then the treatment process. Whether it’s walking around the neighborhood to get fresh air, going for a ride, or watching TV on the couch, Rocky Road is sure to be by my side to make sure I’m not alone.

Roadie has regained his title as the mascot of the Outrun Lupus 5k!

Luigi is a 9 year old male Havanese. A tiny sweetheart with a feisty side. He’s the best buddy. Luigi loves to play chase and zooms around the house with his favorite toy lion at his side.

The Outrun Lupus 5K Run/Walk Mascot Contest is a fun (and friendly!) online contest among dogs who are nominated, where you vote with your dollars. The pup who raises the most money with votes wins and they lead the walkers at the Outrun Lupus 5K on Saturday June 8th. ​
