The Story

The "Gee Twins" Butterfly pins were created to raise Lupus awareness by Kirsten and Deidre, identical twins. Here, in their words, is their story:

These fabric butterfly pins were designed and handcrafted by The Gee Twins for Lupus, Deidre (Gee) Baptista and Kirsten (Gee) Maeda. We are identical twins, creative, passionate Lupus Advocates. We wore these pins while lobbying in Washington DC this past March with The Lupus Research Institute (LRI) and Lupus LA. The pins sparked conversation and were well received while lobbying.  We sincerely hope they will bring support for Lupus awareness and hope towards a cure.
