Chase G. Waters completed his Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California with an emphasis in Mental Health, Internal Medicine and Pain Management. He has extensive clinical training in herbal medicine, Japanese, Classical Chinese and Myofascial Trigger Point acupuncture, clinical nutrition, as well as qigong, tai chi and meditation. Chase has also practiced in mental health and autoimmune community clinics providing free medical care and education to low-income and homeless patients. He is currently a Doctoral Fellow in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Five Branches University specializing in Neurology and is completing a hospital residency in Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. Chase's clinical areas of specialty are Neurology, Psychoneuroimmunology and Stress Management.
Sarah S. Goozee obtained her Master's degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology at California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco. She has worked in community mental health clinics, and medical facilities since 2002. Dr. Goozeé also spent time in academia as a Psychology Professor and Dean of Academic Affairs. At East Bay Functional Restoration Center, Dr. Goozeé has been studying and working with individuals with chronic pain and illnesses including fibromyalgia, arthritis and lupus since 1998. She developed the "Lupus Activity Scale (LAS)," a self-report measure that empowers patients and quantifies lupus disease activity; one of the first of its kind that is now being widely used to understand the connection of chronic pain and mood.
Dr. Goozeé also brings years of experience as a Nutritional Counselor to the functional restoration program where she provides dietary recommendations, helps participants achieve their nutritional goals, and incorporate a healthy diet into their lives. |

Gideon Enz has been practicing and teaching qigong, taiji, and Asian medicine for the past 20 years. Having spent his formative years travelling throughout Asia to study and apprentice with countless masters, yogis, and teachers, he now uses his experience and knowledge teaching workshops and courses, and seeing clients at his clinic in the Bay Area. Gideon holds a doctorate in medical qigong therapy and is a shifu (master instructor) in several internal martial arts (taiji quan and bagua zhang). He is also one of only a handful of practitioners who are fluent in the martial, medical, and spiritual traditions of China, India, and Tibet.
