Session 1: Keynote by Setareh Banisadr
Setareh Banisadr is a lupus patient, longtime volunteer at the LFNC and graduate student pursuing her master’s degree in Integrative Health. She has held training, sales, and mentorship roles in the healthcare sector for the last 14 years and has 6 years of experience in patient education. She has worked for fortune 500 companies such as Allergan, AbbVie and Astra Zeneca.
Through turning around her own health through healthy lifestyle practices, she became fascinated by what patients with autoimmune disease could do to help themselves. She received a health coaching certificate in 2013 from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York and an advanced coaching certificate in 2022 from the California Institute for Integral Studies in San Francisco. She is the founder of Setareh Health where she coaches clients with chronic diseases 1 on 1 to help them make the behavior changes they seek to improve their health and overall well-being.

Session 2: Keynote by Emily Littlejohn
Emily Littlejohn, DO, MPH, is clinical assistant professor in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and is on the medical staff in the Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Diseases at Cleveland Clinic. She directs the Cleveland Clinic Lupus Cohort (CCLC), a longitudinal bio repository that banks blood and urine of lupus patients and is co-director of the Lupus Clinic.
Dr. Littlejohn received her masters of public health degree in epidemiology from Boston University of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts, and went on to receive her medical degree from Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) in Pomona, California where she was awarded a research fellowship in the Department of Biotechnology. She completed her internal medicine residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, and a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Michigan where she worked closely with lupus patients. She is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. |
